It’s a small commitment that makes a big difference. Become a mentor to a child in a school environment. You’ll help build a child’s self-esteem and school performance while having a lot of fun. And it only takes one hour a week during the school year. Currently, we have the In-School Mentoring program in eight schools in the Central Vancouver Island area, including:

• Brechin
• Fairview
• Uplands
• Ladysmith Primary
• Winchelsea

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

• 19 years of age or older
• 1 hour a week during school hours (same hour, same day, every week)
• Commitment to full school year (September to June)
• Have been living in the community for 6 months
• Have three reference who have know you for at least 2 years
• Complete Police Record Check
